Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again. The application will start in a default state, and open an 'Untitled' library. Scrivener does have a ‘Backup Now’ function but on the Mac version, there’s no shortcut key assigned to this and even if there were, it wouldn’t shut the application down afterward. To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences. The other option to consider is that File/Close may have been assigned a different shortcut through the keyboard options, though that’s something that would have been done manually. If you decline, your information won’t be tracked when you visit this website.

Obviously, Scrivener (with Backup on Project Close activated) kicks in a backup (as it should) and then the app closes. To find out more, please see the Final Draft privacy statement and the Cast & Crew privacy policy (including a privacy notice to California residents). Alt-F will open the File menu and X will close the application. When this happens, it looks like the Package Manager window failed to open.

What’s more likely is that you’re accidentally pressing Alt-F then X. The Package Manager window might get moved offscreen or hidden by another window. 199 for Final Draft 12 is a big chunk of change for most aspiring screenwriters.

Final draft is built on legacy software, but the creators don't care since it's the industry standard and companies will keep buying it. Not easy though… I think in Windows (I run Mac) that’s Alt-F4. /rebates/&252ffinal-draft-10-keeps-crashing-mac. To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences. Dianemoody Hi Diane, this looks like you’re running Scrivener for Windows, yes? Rebecca may correct me here but I think the default backup option for Scrivener is to backup on Project close. We fixed an issue where a folder name not ending with / was being. I looks like your PDF viewing application (most likely Adobe Acrobat Reader) is crashing.
